Terms of use

These terms cover your use of FoqusLab at foquslab.app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

• One account is for one person. Don't share your login or let others study on your account.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Give a real name and an email you can access, so we can reach you about your account.
• We may limit an account to one active session at a time.

Our content

The questions, explanations, notes, reviewers, cards, images and interactive tools in FoqusLab belong to FoqusLab or are used with permission. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own study. It doesn't give you ownership of any of it.

What you can't do

• Copy, download, print or save questions, explanations or reviewers to share with others.
• Redistribute any FoqusLab content, whether free or paid, by posting it in group chats, social media, file-sharing sites or printed reviewers.
• Sell, rent or pass along FoqusLab content or access to your account.
• Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to collect content.
• Try to get around locks, limits, watermarks or other protections, or access parts of the app that aren't open to you.
• Disrupt the service or use it to break the law.

Protected content may show a faint watermark with your name or email so leaked copies can be traced to the account they came from.

If these terms are broken

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice, depending on how serious it is. We may also take other steps the law allows to protect our content.

A study aid, not a guarantee

FoqusLab is an independent review tool. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the Professional Regulation Commission or the Board of Optometry. We work hard to keep the content accurate, but mistakes can slip through, so please report anything that looks wrong. Using FoqusLab doesn't guarantee that you'll pass any exam, and nothing in it is medical advice for treating real patients.

Free and paid access

Features may change as the app grows. A free tier and paid passes are planned. When paid passes launch, their price, length and refund rules will be shown before you pay.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. See the privacy notice for what happens to your data.

Liability

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, FoqusLab isn't liable for indirect losses that come from using it or from it being unavailable.

Changes, law and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. These terms follow the laws of the Philippines. Questions go to hello@foquslab.app.
